A Life of Service and Impact

In Loving Memory of Dad

At Unlock Possibilities, family has always been at the heart of everything we do. Much of our mission and inspiration comes from conversations shared around the dinner table, especially with Mum and Dad. It’s through their wisdom and guidance that this journey began.

This page is dedicated to Dad, a man whose life was a testament to service, dedication, and living with purpose.

A Life Well Lived

Dad’s journey was one of unwavering commitment—to his family, his passions, and the communities he held so dear. He lived a life of service, setting high expectations for himself and encouraging those around him to strive for excellence. Whether on the cricket pitch, at the golf club, or in the heart of Skipton’s community, Dad poured his heart into everything he did.

From his early days at the Wallington Cricket Club to his pivotal roles in the Bellarine Peninsula and Western Plains Cricket Associations, cricket was more than just a sport for Dad; it was a symbol of teamwork, dedication, and tradition. Later, his love for sport and community extended to the Ocean Grove Football Club, the Skipton Golf Club—where he became a life member—and the Skipton Progress Association and Historical Society.

A Legacy of Values

Dad’s meticulous nature, his drive for improvement, and his ability to lead with purpose left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. He didn’t just believe in doing things; he believed in doing them the right way.

Some of my fondest memories are of the conversations we had about cricket, administration, and life. Those moments weren’t just about the tasks at hand; they were about building something meaningful and leaving a lasting impact.

A Message for Us All

In his final days, Dad’s wisdom shone as brightly as ever. His words—“Life goes on. I want you all to live your lives”—are a reminder of his strength and grace. They guide us to celebrate his life and embrace each day with purpose and gratitude.

Today, and always, we honor Dad’s remarkable legacy. His love for wool, agriculture, and the land connected him deeply to the world around him, just as his commitment to his family and community connected him to all of us.

Thank You, Dad

Dad, you showed us how to live fully, how to serve selflessly, and how to lead with integrity. Your legacy lives on in the lives you touched, the lessons you taught, and the example you set.

Rest easy, knowing your values and spirit will forever guide us.
